Root Chakra
Safety · belonging · practical stability
The root chakra represents the foundation from which we meet everyday life. Its language is not speed but steadiness: shelter, rhythm, resources and the feeling that we are allowed to occupy space.
Attention to this centre can be useful during transitions, financial uncertainty or periods when the mind races ahead of the body. The practice is to return from abstract fear to one concrete, manageable step.
When attention may be helpful
- Difficulty settling into routines
- Persistent worry about basic security
- Feeling scattered or without a place
A gentle practice
Stand with both feet on the floor. Exhale longer than you inhale for seven rounds, then name three things that support you today.
“What would make today feel five percent safer?”Reflection question
